NOTE TO CUSTOMERS: Travel Duffle Bag 2.1 is an update of our popular Travel Duffle Bag, Travel Duffle Bag 2.0, and Travel Duffle Bag II patterns which were released in 2013, 2019, and 2021 respectively. The new 2.1 version doesn’t change the design of the bag, but we’ve changed a number of dimensions and rearranged the steps to make the pattern easier to read and follow. We have also filmed an Add-on Video to help you and your customers make the project. Since the Travel Duffle Bag 2.1 pattern includes a coupon to get the Add-On Video at no charge, we would recommend that they purchase the new and improved version of the pattern. CLASS INFO: Travel Duffle Bag 2.1 makes a great class for all levels of sewists, from beginners to more advanced makers. We'd suggest two half-day classes OR a full-day class for this project. If you split it into two classes, we'd suggest that you cover Steps II - IV in the first class, covering preparation of the various components of the bag (binding, handles and straps, pockets, and ends). Students can finish the components and return to assemble the bag in the second class. We recommend that students read the pattern and watch the Add-on Videos before coming to class. They should also come to class with their fabric quilted and everything cut out and labeled for their project. So, they should complete all of step I. Cut and Quilt on pages 2 and 3 of the pattern before coming to class.
