This pattern involves cutting and sewing on a bias, but since the diamonds are large there are only a few diamond points to match. Skill Level: Confident Beginner. It requires cutting and sewing on a bias, sewing with a consistent 1/4" seam, and precision to match diamond points. The pattern includes tips on how to do this accurately. The diamonds in this pattern are large and there are minimal points to match so it is a good pattern for someone wanting to make their first star quilt. There are no Y seams in this quilt pattern.
