The Scary Woods

The Scary Woods is not really scary at all! Sweet fluffy owls perched on branches with checkerboard trees. You can just see the light flickering in through the thick wooded forest! Large blocks make this an easy quilt to make with nothing too difficult. There is a link provided in the instructions for a step by step pictorial to assist with the small rounded areas on either side of the owl's eyes. All piecing methods are tradtional including the Magic 8 method of making 8 half square triangles using only 2 fabric squares which is shared inside the written instructions. Clear diagrams are included to assist with the written instructions. Would make a terrific class, teaching the owl and the tree block one week and returning the following week or two to sew the rows together and add the sashing branches. The Scary Woods quilt measures 58" x 72".
