These versatile fold over bags in two sizes have zippered tops that fold over and close with magnetic snaps. Need more room? Just open the flap and use the bag with the flap up! Because there is no quilting or bindings, these stylish bags are extra easy to make! A zippered welt pocket on the exterior back is perfect for quick access to a phone, keys, or other small items. Inside is a gathered fabric slip pocket which is divided into three sections to separate and organize all your essentials. Carry the bags over the shoulder, crossbody, or around the waist using the adjustable, detachable strap. Alternatively, detach the strap and carry as a clutch. These stylish bags are extra easy to make since they involve no quilting or bindings. We'd suggest a half-day class for this project and would recommend that students plan to make just ONE bag in the class. The process is exactly the same for the small or the large bag, so they can make either size. We recommend that students read the pattern and watch the Add-on Videos before coming to class. To make best use of class time, we also recommend that they come to class with everything cut out and labeled for their project and that they complete the basic steps to prepare the zippers, fuse the interfacings, and prepare and attach the Zipper Tab. So, they should complete all of step I. Cut on page 2 and step II. Prepare Components on pages 2 and 3 of the pattern BEFORE coming to class.
