He is also one of the SIMPLEST Funky Friends patterns so I always recommend this pattern for beginner toy-makers and for children. He is suited to most fabrics but I like making him out of fleece which gives him a warm furry feel! With his cute little upturned bill and squidgy body, he’s bound to get loads of cuddles. RECOMMENDED FABRIC The Platypus can made from MOST fabrics – The pattern will work well with both NON-STRETCH fabrics (eg. patchwork and quilting cottons and corduroy)and also with STRETCH fabrics (eg. fleece, stretch velour, chenille and flannelette.)
