It is especially helpful when stitches may tunnel or become buried in the fabric. One of its greatest advantages is that it keeps projects soft, so finished pieces do not feel stiff or bulky. This stabilizer is best suited for traditional appliqué rather than embroidery appliqué. After the appliqué is complete, excess stabilizer tears away easily around the outside of the design.
