Gather

Gather is a 54" x 68" quilt pattern. Raising crops--corn and soybeans--then using the crops to feed our animals is the only thing I know. I was born and a family farm and now live on my husbands' family farm. Being a steward of this land is very important to us. My husband is very proud of the fact that he feeds 150 people with the products we raise. So designing this quilt with the corn and beans block is quite personal to me. The blocks represent the whole sections of land around us that grow these crops--each section is divided from the other by a dusty gravel road. And together we all feed the world. Pattern included detailed cutting and piecing directions, coloring page and quilting suggestions. Cover fabric is my Signature fabric collection Farm Country by Kathy Engle for Island Batik of Lumin Fabrics.
