It is recommended to prewash your fabrics and garments without fabric softeners to achieve the best bond of interfacing to fabric. Interfacings do not need to be prewashed. 2. Cut interfacings according to pattern instructions. 3. Preheat your iron to a medium or wool setting with NO STEAM. 4. Place the rough side – or glue side – on the back side or wrong side of the materials to be fused. 5. Cover with a light, dry pressing cloth. Press and hold the iron in place with medium pressure for 8-10 seconds. Repeat by lifting the iron and placing in the next area, slightly overlapping the first until the entire surface is bonded. 6.
